As a Buyer in the Transformation of Industry – Compression – Procurement at Siemens Energy Dammam Hub, you’ll engage in dynamic procurement activities that drive the success of our projects and contribute to Siemens Energy’s mission. You’ll collaborate with a diverse team and external partners, ensuring seamless sourcing and onboarding processes while optimizing supplier performance. 

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Plan and coordinate sourcing activities to exceed business goals and enhance customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy policies.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners, including engineering, procurement, and suppliers, to streamline processes and optimize supplier performance.
• Conduct thorough offer assessments and negotiations, ensuring optimal techno-commercial evaluations and vendor compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships, focusing on qualification, development, and performance improvement to meet cost, quality, and time targets.
• Support sales proposals by providing insights on vendor pricing and timelines, aiming for competitive pricing and timely order acquisition.
• Implement supplier management processes to ensure transparency and high procurement quality, driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or business administration with a strong technical affinity, complemented by 3-5 years of procurement experience.
• Proven ability to conduct mid-complex negotiations and manage supplier relationships, with knowledge of contractual law.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
• Cultural sensitivity and responsiveness, ensuring respectful engagement with diverse groups and maintaining high personal integrity.
• Proficiency in data analytics and cost modeling, along with advanced skills in MS Office.
• Excellent command of English, enabling effective communication and collaboration in an international team environment.
• Index to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent

Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise. We enable decarbonization of the industrial sector and the transition to sustainable processes, building on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities.
